Meridian57 is a web directory organised as a card catalogue — each listed site occupies a single entry under one of 22 subject headings. The index currently holds 839 approved cards and is open to new submissions.

Sites are filed under one of 22 named subject drawers, from Gaming — Chance and Wagers to Itineraries — Travel and Tourism. Within each drawer, entries are listed alphabetically by domain name.

Yes. Submitting a card to Meridian57 is free. There is no charge to apply, and placement within the relevant drawer is not influenced by payment.

Use the submission form available from any page in the index. Provide your domain and select the subject drawer that best fits your site's primary content. A reviewer will assess the submission and notify you of the outcome.

Most submissions are reviewed within a few days. If your site is approved, the card is added to the appropriate drawer and becomes visible in the catalogue. If it is not accepted, you are welcome to resubmit after addressing the reason for decline.

Any website whose principal content maps clearly to one of the 22 subject headings is eligible. The index accepts commercial, non-profit, and personal sites alike. Sites with content that cannot be classified under a named heading may be filed under Miscellany — Uncatalogued Entries.

To update a title, description, or category for an existing card, submit a request through the contact form with your domain and the correction needed. Cards are amended at the discretion of the reviewing desk.

Common reasons include the domain not resolving, the declared subject not matching the site's actual content, or the domain already holding a card in the index. Sites under construction or with no substantive content are typically deferred until the site is complete.
